TTC after 35

Finished clomid doctor prescribed maybe this will work? side effects

Finished my 5 day clomid regimen. I took 100mg days 5-9.  Noticed a couple of times my side feeling kinda sharp but it went away really quick.  I also on day 4 had some weird bright light things flashing through my eyes(hard to explain, I only had it for a couple of hours than went to bed and nothing next day.  My period seemed to last longer I just stopped having drainage early today.  It was not heavy but usually mine is about 5 days then on day 6 maybe some scanty drainage and this lasted like 10 days but the last 4 was kinda dark and looked old and light.  Not trying to be gross but this just isn't typical of me.  I also felt my heart kinda pounding but only once and it didn't last long.  So all in all it wasn't bad.  Does anyone know if ovulation should stay the same or from your experience how did ovulation change for you?  Thanks,  GL girls, hope everyone gets their BFP soon --- Sticky one too!

  • Good luck and I would  mention the eye thing to your dr. Yours doesn't sound extreme (I was unable to see at night) but if too severe can cause permanent damage. Again doesn't sound like what yours was, but it doesn't hurt to let them know.

  • I'm sorry you're going through this. I agree that it wouldn't hurt to mention this stuff to your doctor.

I took clomid only once. It did not change anything for me at all - I had no more follies than usual, but I also had no side effects.

  • I hope it helps you this cycle.  The bright light flashing through your eyes kind of sounds like ocular migraine to me.  I get them infrequently, but was getting them more often when taking Clomid.  Mine usually start with the lights flashing in my eyesight - giving me tunnel vision and then, once I take Tylenol or Head On for migraines, there may be a light headache.  For me, if I go without any pain meds, I get a horrific pounding in the back of my head.

So, I agree, tell your doc about it.
