With DD it was at 39w2d. ?With DS I was 3 days past my EDD because they were rooting for my vbac. ?

Ditto. Also, they don't like to schedule them BEFORE 39 weeks usually unless there's a medical reason because of greater incidence of illness to the baby.
Well dang Marce! There goes that thought... LOL
I'll still ask my doc at my appt. Myabe I'll go for July 5th instead, that works too-as long as I don't go in labor on my own before that.
(I wonder how long I'll stay in the hospital, I don't wanna be in over 4th of July if she does it on the 30th)
I'll have a scheduled c/s with this baby. My due date is July 20th, but the baby will come on or before June 28th. I'm considered high risk due to my kidney disease and some other complications. Along with having pre-e with Carter. Due to those issues the perinatologist said a VBAC wasn't an option and will have the baby delivered at 37 weeks. Carter was to come at 37 weeks (induction), but due to complications at the end of my pregnancy and the beginning of pre-e I was induced at 36 weeks, but after 20 hours of labor he needed an emergency c/s due to complications with his heartrate.

wow! Was Carter in the NICU at all? I have this fear that this baby will end up in the NICU is he's born early. (DS was born at 36wks and in the NICU for 5days)
Carter, luckily, was only in the NICU for about 11 hours. His lungs were not opening on their own, so he needed oxygen and his glucose levels were VERY low so he needed IVs of sugar water. Around 8pm (he was born at 10:46am) they came in and said that he would need to eat soon (didn't need to prior due to IV) and would need to spend the night in the NICU. I insisted on coming down to the NICU to nurse him. He completely turned around after nursing (not sure if it was the actual nursing, the food, or what) and was able to come into our room 2 hours later.
He was also jaundice and lost more than 10% of his body weight. So we had to go for daily weight checks, daily bilirubin checks, and for his first week he was on a bili light at home.
I really hope this baby can avoid the NICU all together.
ETA: My SIL had 2 babies at 35 weeks (they came naturally at that time) one in 2005 and one in 2007 and both were 100% healthy. Didn't need the NICU at all and weren't jaundice or have any complications.

You'll stay 3-4 days generally. If you deliver June 30, you could go home either July 3 or 4th.

I was originally scheduled for 3 days before my due date but it got bumped up a week due to low amniotic levels. My OB said anytime the week before my due date, 3 days before is just when he happened to be at the hospital.
I was scheduled for 38w1d with the twins because they were transverse and considered full term for twins. I got pre-e and had them at 37w6d. With Adam, I was 41w1d because I was hoping for a VBAC and the kid just didn't want to come out. Then he turned out to be 9 lbs 15 oz and I was damn glad not to have had to push his big-ass out!
I was 38 weeks with both of my planned c-sections. They didn't want me to go into labor on my own. Kaitlyn was LARGE even that early. She was 9lbs 8oz.
39 wks. both times. My OB won't do them any earlier when delivering boy babies. She'll do them at 38 wks. or so with girl babies but prefers to wait 39. With DD she set my date at 39 wks but expected me to deliver sooner since I was in preterm labor from at least 32 wks. I made it to my date though!

Also, I went home a day or so early with my repeat C. Recovery was MUCH easier and I was up and walking the morning after DD was born. Since there were no complications and I was ready, willing and able, I was given the option of leaving a day early. There shouldn't be any reason you'd be kept over the holiday. I was in the hospital 3 days tops after my repeat C.
I was scheduled for 6 days before EDD, but I went into labor 2 days before scheduled date and ended up with an emergency c-section. I had dilated to past 9 and was pushing (though they told me not to) as they got me into the OR. It was crazy how fast it went, and I still wish the hospital would have just let me deliver vaginally, but they won't do VBACS. It just seemed so senseless at that point. I was released 2.5 days later (delivered Sunday 7 am, left Tuesday mid-afternoon). Since I was not a first timer and had dealt with the c before, they let me go.
LOL at 'pleasently planned' I'm wondering if they'll do mine 2wks before my due date...it fits my schedule better, hahahaaa!
They wouldn't let me schedule even one day before 39w (even though it fell on a Sat so the earliest for me is 39w2d). I am scheduled for a c/s a week after my EDD to give us a chance for VBAC.

With DD I was 39 weeks exactly, I was just told they didn't want me to go into labor turning it into an emergency situation.
With this baby it's up to me, either 38 weeks 5 days or 39 weeks 1 day. Same reasoning.

I've had 2 scheduled c-sections. My first c-section was at 39 weeks. My second c-section was at 39 weeks, 4 days.
