Anyone have elevated fasting numbers like (99 and 103) but pretty normal numbers the rest of the day? I go back to dr friday, just wondering if I will be put on meds

This happens to me. I can't seem to keep my fasting numbers down. i had been trying different pre-bed snacks to see if that would have an effect, but so far it hasn't.
My fasting number been between 90 - 95 everyday for the last week. I'm guessing that when i have to email in my results on Thursday that the diabetic nurse is going to recommend insulin. But we'll see.
I have the same thing going on. My fasting target is under 95. I'm usually right around 95, with a few slightly higher or lower. My after meal numbers are actually typically better than my fasting. My doctor looked at my numbers yesterday, and commented that I'll need to watch the fasting, and maybe experiment with my bedtime snack, but didn't put me on meds.
I'm going to try adding some protein to my before bed snack and/or a few minutes of exercise to try to bring the number down a little.
Yes, this was my exact scenario. Always high fasting numbers, always good daytime numbers. I was put on Glyburide.
This. Though I do still get high meal numbers from time to time (when my balance is off I think).
I tried all different pre-bed snacks, eating, not eating, protein, carbs, didn't matter. In a week and a half of testing I had 3 good days, and only barely (under 95 by a couple of points at best).
