    We're meeting at 2:30.  He gave me some review notes on my project this morning and I wanted to get through it so that I can have a deliverable ready before we meet.  Sort of  "yeah I was late, but look I got my work down"

    Well good luck!  I am sure he values you and your work - hopefully he starts to better understand your time issues (with traffic considerations and all).
