x-rays for toddlers?

Has anyone had to get an xray on their toddler?  I am 90% sure we have to get a chest X-ray for Abby and I have no idea how they're going to do it.  She HATES being held down... I mean, she is really strong when she squirms and even Peter can't restrain her most of the time.  She also freaks out, like has terrible panic attacks when people hold her arms down. 

Has anyone had to deal wtih this?  How do they do it??

You or Peter will be in the room with her, wearing an xray apron yourself. I have had to do it 3 or 4 times with Max, and it isnt that bad. The either sit him up or put a pillow on the table for him to use. He definitely squirms, and I have to hold him in place, but its over in a flash. Its not that bad at all.

We had an xray done of Jake's stomach a few months ago and we just had to hold him up against the board still for like 1 second. It wasn't too bad!

Our old pedi's office had a contraption that they strap the little one in. You still have to stand there with an apron on to hold their hands since they tend to freak out but its over really quick. I've also had to do one of Mikey's hips with me in the room but he was MUCH smaller then.

thanks, guys.  I take Abby int tomorrow to get checked out (just in case the Dr missed an ear infection or throat/sinus infection last time we ewre there) but she thinks we'll just have to get her chest x-rays for this cough she's had for 3 months.  I hope it's nothing, but my sister and I both had bad respiratory things growing up (My mom had to take ALL stuffed animals out of her room when she was a baby because she kept getting sick and I was constantly with bronchitis.)  Please send us good vibes our way that nothing is wrong!

Good luck Jenny! I hope Abby doesn't freak out with the X-ray. I know Zachary definitely would - he also hates being on his back. He once turned blue during a diaper change - LOL!!!!!
