do you have window bars?

only the bottom half of our windows opens and it has a screen on the bottom only. I like having the windows open during nice weather for fresh air but am totally freaked out that DD can fall out. Do you have bars? which ones? thanks!

We don't have window bars. Our windows are high enough (right now) that DD can barely see out of them on her tip toes, so I'm not concerned about her falling out. Plus, we dont' have anything underneath them for her to climb up on.

I never even thought about this.  I don't think we will install any though.  The only 2nd story window that she can get to is the one above our bed and she is never on our bed unless we are in the room.

Our windows can open from the top.  Could you do that?

no, the windows don't open from the top at all

DD is very strong and a climber, I can totally see her pushing the screen out (and maybe moving some toy to the window to help her climb). She's usually w/n our sight and always w/n our hearing but these are things I worry about.

No.  We only open the windows about 4-5 inches to prevent DS from falling out and the dog from leaping through the screen if she sees another dog walking by.  We also have a strict "no touching the screen" rule that has been in effect since last summer.  DS doesn't even think about it any more.
