2. Place the halves with the cut side up in a dish that is oven safe and has high walls
3. pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees
4. put water in the dish that has the squash in it (just up to the sides about a 1/2 in of water just to cover the sides not the whole thing
5. Once in the oven allow 15-20 minutes of baking time and then check on it. If you can peirce the skin with a fork with little to no effort its done.
6. wait for 15 minutes to cool before scooping the flesh to the blender and mix with the liquid that they baked in till its the texture you want.
I put some olive oil on one of the halves and split it with DH for dinner so we all had squash. It was Yummy! You can store the extra in the freezer for up to 3 months. I have one oz cubes and trays so I can "take it on the go" as well.
