What do you use for Eczema?

Have you found anything that you really like?  Eucerin doesnt seem to be working.

And is it normal for it to ooze?  SHe scatched it today and there was sticky stuff coming out. I dont want to call the dr. and sound like a paranoid first time mom.

Thanks girls.

Re: What do you use for Eczema?

  • We have this too- We had to get an RX for a medicated ointment for the oozing patch and then a cream that works wonders for his body- Let me tell you, this cream is a miracle worker. We were just using Aquafor 3-4 times a day from head to toe and never had results like this. The medicated ointment is called Muprirocen and the cream is called PruMyx (generic for Mymyx). You have to try and get the PruMyx! It is amazing!

  • Have you ever heard of Carols Daughter products. My girlfriend uses it for her DD's eczema and swears by it.
  • Thank you!  GOing to try these.

  • We got a script for Hydrocortisone Cream, you use it for a week. Then we used Aveeno. Also, we bought these awesome onsies made by Halo that wick moisture away and thir eczema cleared almost all the way up!

  • We use Cortaid. It has 1% Hydorcortisone Cream in it, and it's over the counter. It works pretty well.
  • We use the Aveeno Oatmeal bath.  Works great!  Calendula lotion from California Baby after the bath.
  • We've used aquaphor, hydrocortisone 1% and now we are up to 2%...and sadly nothing has helped.  Our friend recommended this product called Arbonne.  We were hesitant to use it but so far its been the only thing that has worked for our LO. Unfortunately its not easy to purchase. You have to know a representative that sells it.

  • I use aquaphor...it works pretty well except for one spot on the side of DS's face.

BTW...your daughter is so f***ing cute!!  Oh my god, I wanna sqeeze her!!

  • THank you for all the suggestions, im defintiley going to try them!  I Feel so bad that she keeps scratching it.

Sila... thank you!  Your son is one beautiful baby himself!

  • Our pedi suggested neosporin for the oozing, then 1% hydrocortisone about 5-10 minutes after.  You can use Aveeno or Cetaphil on top if you wish.
