I didn't pay anything at my first appt. I did pay around $260 a few months later, which I think is a 10% estimate of what they think you'll owe. I ended up getting a check after I delivered because I guess it turned out to not be that much.
and you can do a payment plan -- that's what I did. I think you just have to finish paying by the start of your third trimester or something like that.

A girl at Jon's office is thinking about thinking about talking about getting pregnant and she wanted to know what our coverage was like. I couldn't remember how much that payment was at the beginning (like if it was a couple hundred or a ton more than that).
Depends on how much of your deductible you've met. With Baby #1 it was $425, with this one it was $650. Due at 2nd appointment as previous posters said.
