This is my second C/S. (this one was an emergency one though, 7min) I am 10 weeks PP and am growing concerned. First off, I had stopped bleeding around wk. 6 and started the pill, week 8 I started to bleed again and have been continuing since. I don't remember this happening the first time around and feel like it been too long for it to still be happening. Also, I have been working out..slowly. Again around wk 6 I was feeling good so I worked out and got EXTREMELY sore, so I took it easy after that....now again at wk 10 I have been increasing it and am SO sore. My incision is really tender and feels really sore/tender internally. Again I don't remember it taking this long before and I am rather frustrated and get nervous that something isn't right. (I called my Dr. and he said it is still happening in a mo. to go in)
Anyway, I am looking for some advice/ or others that are going/gone through it also, to help make me feel better. Any information is greatly appreciated..TIA
Re: C-section Moms...advice needed (repost from 0-3)
You probably started working out too early, and are overdoing it. I'd say back off on the working out for now and let it heal.
I pulled a muscle around week 6 in my stomach, and it took a long time to feel totally normal.
I had apparently started BC pills at a very inopportune time, because I started bleeding around week 7 and continued until week 12. My doc said the estrogen in the BC was stimulating uterine lining/bleeding to continue because of when I started the pack. She had some recommendations on how to get it to stop, so ask your doc. I basically doubled up until I finished the pack, which made the bleeding stop, then I had a regular period, which finally just ended. Hip Hip Hooray!!!!It is finally over!
I haven't had any bleeding since six weeks but I can relate to the pain.
My dr. told me at 6 weeks that it would get worse before it got better. I felt like I was practically healed at 4-5 weeks PP and then it started getting worse. He told me it was all the nerves coming back and getting sensation back that I didn't have the first 6 weeks. Although the pain is not terrible, it was uncomfortable. It lasted until ubout 10-11 weeks PP at the incision and internally. Now I can do sit ups and run on the elliptical with no problems (granted I can only do it for 10 min).
