...but it's okay, really. We still have some stuff we need to get squared away before Baby Boy #2 comes. They took a swab to my cervix and tested it for amniotic fluid, which came out negative. I'm guessing the "little gushes" I felt were some sort of cervical fluid, possibly some mucous plug situation? While they were in there they checked if I've progressed--I am 1.5 cm dilated, and 50% effaced, which is .5 cm more than this past Tuesday, so that's good. Seriously, the paperwork and questions took longer than the testing itself! We are lucky we got out relatively quickly. Anyway, we will now return to our regularly scheduled programming LOL...

Re: T'was Nothing...
With DS, I thought I was leaking too, but none of those swabs ever came up positive for amniotic fluid. They said I was just leaking pee and I was sooo embarrassed. When the doc tried to break my water a couple of days later, he found that it had already broken and the nurse said those swabs aren't always accurate.
I don't want to scare you. I know how much those last prep days are worth. (I was in complete denial because I still had essays to grade.) But if you start feeling contractions...
Luckily things weren't that bad with Emily. Still had to wear pantyliners but nothing like the Niagara Falls I had with Abby!! I had access to the test strips and tested myself at least 5 times because I swore I was leaking amntiotic fluid. And due to the reaction of the pH strip, I'm positive I wasn't just peeing myself either.
Finish up though! It could be any day now!
This. I was leaking BIG TIME the day before I went into labor. I went and got the swab and they said that it was not amniotic fluid. I was convinced that I was not peeing b/c I had ZERO control over it. The next day I went in to labor and the nurses finally agreed that my water had sprung a leak the day before.
