Well, Dh has been sick with a common cold and now our LO is sick as well. I grabbed the Infant Tylenol to help soothe him but the dosage chart says to ask a doctor...
Am I missing something here? My little man is only 3 weeks old, but they gave him the Infant Tylenol in the hospital and told us we could bring home the rest. I figured it was ok to use but now I am not so sure. Anyone have to use tylenol so soon with their LO and if so , how did you go about dosage? I would call the doc but its the weekend and there isn't anyone I can talk too. He's certainly not sick enough to bring anywhere, just wanted to help soothe him...

Re: Infant Tylenol ? - New Momma
This exactly. My LO is sick with a common cold as well I gave it to him :-( He has a cough and is fussy and sneezing a lot. I feel so bad so I gave him .4 of tylenol.
Call the pediatrician, you'll want to do what he/she says.
FWIW- We had DS circumcised when he was a week and a half old, and we were instructed to give tylenol drops through the night every four hours, and we were instructed to give .6. (Between the .4 and .8 lines.)

I got a paper at my LO's first shots and it says .4 for 6-12lbs -- .6 12-17lbs. I didnt give my LO tylenol before 2months bc i didnt know the answer to this question.....Hope this helps and good luck with your LO's cold! We just got over strep throat which is sooo rare for a 2month old!
Thanks, ladies.
And as for his symptoms, he is stuffed up and sneezing a lot and just seems irritable. I checked his temp and he was fine but he feels warm to me... what do I know!
I gave him .4 and he is sleeping peacefully now.
