Ugh I feel like the worst parent

Baby bat slept from  9 pm until 5:30 this morning(when we picked her up, she didn't wake up on her own) sounds great right?  But nope,  the thermostat in the hall said 59 degrees!  When we went to bed it was like 66 or 67, and it didn't really occur to us to turn on the heat.  I think it was even colder in her room though b/c the fan is on.  I think she was to cold to wake up Sad,  she had 2 blankets and a sleeper,  but that's 2 hours longer than she's ever gone without feeding.  She seems no worse for it today besides lots of eating, but I still feel awful.

  • don't beat yourself up! tommy's room is (by far) the coolest in the house. We have experimented w/ opening his vent more and he really seems to like it on the cold side rather than warm.

  • Aww, don't be so hard on yourself!  If she had been seriously uncomfortable, I think she would have cried to let you know it.

And if it makes you feel any better, when my parents had me they lived in an old farm house and the heat didn't WORK sometimes.  In North Dakota.  I survived with no emotional scars, so I think your baby will be just fine, too.  ;)

  • Aw, don't beat yourself up about it.  DD still prefers to be on the chilly side - heck, she doesn't even complain when it's super hot either.  If she was uncomfortable, she definitely would have let you know!
