I am still feeling completely overwhelmed and inadequate. I was on Zoloft for about 6 months pp, but went off because I was doing good. Overall I manage fine but I am still having meltdowns that last days at a time. Anyone else?
i have bad days now and then. i think if your meltdowns are lasting days then something needs to change. it's a hard time of year for you guys in the cold climates...do you think that might be part of it?
I definitely still have ups and downs. I think as long as you are aware of them and can proactive address them, you should be okay. Although I was never on meds, I saw/spoke with my therapist fairly regularly. It has been sporadic as time has gone by, but I've found myself in her office more than once 12+ months after DD was born.
It may just be the blues, but I think having been diagnosed with PPD, you are more aware of what you're feeling, which is a good thing.
I think it's completely normal to have ups and downs still--remember, your baby is now at an age that can be stressful on mommy. There are days I want to pull my hair out chasing after my daughter. I also suffered from PPD when Skye was born. It definitely got much easier but there are days I just want to scream.
