I'm helping to host a small second shower for a friend and we were thinking of doing afternoon tea somewhere fun. Any suggestions? I guess I keep falling back on the idea of what we use to do in Boston on the weekend.. Tea and Sandwiches at the Ritz, relaxing and delicious!
Re: Good Places for Tea?
I think the Westin La Cantera does something like this. You might check out the new JW Marriott as well. I love the restaurant at Neiman Marcus at La Cantera - it might work. You could also look at Ye Kendall Inn in Boerne. It's a nice hotel, almost B&B style.
Speaking of B&Bs...some of the ones in King William or Monte Vista might let you host it in their common space and provide the catering for a small fee.
I was recently informed about this place:

haven't been there though
LOVE that place! Also look into Mad Hatters.

Hey Lindsay! You won't believe this but we know the owners of Candlelight. We were actually some of the first people ever to set foot in the place the day they opened. They are great. It is a very eclectic little place.
Madhatters is a cool little place too. There is supposed to be another tea room here in town but I don't know the name of it. My mom went to a function out there a month or two ago. If I remember what it is I will post it.
Madhatters does a special tea service thing where you get your tea, sandwiches, etc. in a private room for only about $10 or $12 a person. The only thing that is difficult about Madhatters is the parking, but other than that its a great little place.
They do unlimited Sunday brunch mimosas too.
