DH and I both went to the University of Kansas (that is where we met.) Yesterday upset me more than I would like to admit. Basketball is religion in Lawrence. I am so sad!!!
If baylor hadn't won I would be super sad too. I have a lot of family in KS and they were all going for KU to win. I didn't think they would be out so soon.
seems like basketball sucks for a lot of the ladies on the board this season- texas, utep, u of h, and now kansas .
i think that the longhorns on the board who were rooting for colt and the horns at the national championship in football understand your pain. my heart still aches when i think about that game. i dont think i'll ever get over it.

I totally get it, too. I puffy heart college hoops and look so forward to March Madness every year. But I'm a Tarheels fan. And, well... let's just say I feel like a fish out of water this year.
Hey, no fair! I cheer on the big 12 when we aren't playing them. I understand though.
I'm actually an SEC girl at heart - born in Baton Rouge, went to HS in NW Arkansas down the road from the U of A. Normally I cheer for the SEC, although in basketball season, I'll admit to enjoying the UNC/Duke rivalry, since I worked in Chapel Hill and Meredith was born at Duke University Hospital.
Re: Sad day in our house (not too serious)

Aww, I was born and raised in Topeka, KS. I completely understand. I have a lot of friends that went to KU.
