NTTGP Related: iPod touch

Does anyone have one? DH wants to get me one for my birthday in April. I was thinking I would want an iPhone, but the monthly fees would be too expensive. My iPOd right now is dying and I think the iPod touch would be the best of both worlds, with the Internet access and everything. We are going to Mexico in April and I think it would be nice to have (and keep charting on FF with it!)

What do you think? Any thoughts?

Can you teach me a few things? How does the internet work? Is it easy to access? I'm not that bright with the apps part of it.

I love mine. They are wifi only though. If you want access without wifi maybe look into a 3G iPad. They should be out in the next month.

It comes with a preloaded app called Safari and that is just like the internet on a computer. With apps you just search for them in the app store and download. I haven't bought any, a lot of them are free. It does take some getting used to if you have never had a Iphone or anything but they are great!

I love mine!  It takes some getting used to, not all web pages load the way you want them to, and for internet connectivity, you do need wifi (limits useability, but beats the crap out of $30 per month for the data connectivity alone needed for the iPhone.)

Besides loading up with music and apps, you can also load videos on it without it being streaming video.  I downloaded several episodes of Mad Men for a plane trip one time.  I was entertained, great quality for such an itty screen.

Dunno if it's an app,but you can log in and enter data easily through the URL.  FF has a full and mobile version (for easier navigation)

FF is not an app but I just go on Safari to get to it. It saves all of my info and I don't even have to sign in, I am always logged in. Sometimes I find it easier to do FF on my ipod than on a computer.

FF has an app but it doesn't record temps. It's nice if you're just wanting a place to note your period and sex but beyond that you'll need another app. I really recommend FemCal. It'll run you about 4$ but it records temps and even gives you a little chart- no internet required.... which was worth it to me- sometimes on business trips I don't have access to wireless at the hotel and FemCal lets me keep up with charting until I get back to someplace with access.
