Hi fellow high-risk ladies! I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Brenda, I'm from North Jersey (also a former Knottie) and am 23 weeks pg with my first baby - it's a boy! I am actually sitting in a hospital room as I type after needing an emergency cerclage on Wednesday afternoon. In addition to the other ailments I suffer from (hypertension, hypothyroidism, heart palps and elevated liver enzymes), it was found that my cervix was 1 cm dilated on Wednesday morning during a routine ultrasound. Everything is good now and we caught it in time, so I'm thankful for that I'm feeling pretty good, but the doc wants to keep me here through the weekend just in case. I will be on a modified bedrest for the duration of my pregnancy.
Looking forward to chatting with you ladies!
Re: Hello! New here :)
Welcome!
hello!! welcome to the club! There are a ton of us short cervix mommas on here, please feel free to ask us anything or to come to us for support! Without the other mommas on here, I would have gone nuts!!
I had a cerclage placed at 18w5d..shortened to 15mm. I'm on bedrest now but hope to have some restrictions lifted if I have a good cervical length at the next few dr appts!
We have a daily check-in so make sure to check it out and let us know how you're doing!! I hope your hospital stay isn't much longer and that you'll be home soon!!
