How often does your 9/10 week old eat?

I breastfeed, and give DS pumped BM at night.  I am trying to write down DS's schedule to see what it looks like because I go back to work in 1 1/2 weeks.  I was suprised to see that DS is still eating 8-9 times a day that seems like a lot.

My DS is 11 weeks and he eats at about the following times, sometimes more though so about 7-8 times.

6:30 a.m. (or wake up)

mid-morning

early afternoon

mid-afternoon

6 pm

9 p.m

2/3 a.m.?

DS is 10 weeks old and eats 7 times per day - every 3 hours at 4 oz. each feeding. At night he does sleep for 6 hours though.  I tried going to 4.5 each feeding this week, but he is not eating the last 1/2 oz, and I don't want to waste the breastmilk.

this is basically our schedule, but what I do now, is a feeding at 8pm and another at 10pm. By doing this it eliminates the 2/3 am feeding:) Also the last feeding is a pumped bottle. So it's 7 feedings.

I BF but when I do pump (I pumped both sides fully yesterday) I got 5-6 oz out, so that's about what he's eating every 3-4 hours. At night he goes 6-7 hours for the first stretch.
