Has anybody only been able to pick up one hb on a home doppler. I am starting to freak myself out. I might have been able to hear two, but I can't really tell for sure. Maybe I should trash this thing and stop making myself nuts.

Re: home doppler
That's exactly why I restrained myself from purchasing one.
Sorry I have no experience w/the dopplers - I'm sure both the babies are doing fine. GL!
Yes, I used one and still occassionally use it if I don't feel them moving a lot.
What I do is find my heartbeat first and then slather the belly with gel and move it around. I would usually find one kiddo first and then the second was always harder.
Good luck!
Married and it feels so good!
I was living in London the first 5 mo. of my pg and my midwife would try out the doppler at our visits--BUT--always prefaced it with "don't freak out if we can only pick up one of the HBs--it's hard getting both to cooperate". So true! I would say if it worries you or makes you double guess yourself, toss it. As long as your dr. is checking everything at your appts (which I am sure he/she is), leave it in their hands.
GL!
We have one. We found 2 hbs only on the first time at using it. We usually check the hb's nightly. At first I really worried when we could only find 1, but I try to remember that we are not pros/may not always hear the 2nd one.
It gives me peace of mind just trying to locate them, and having success some of the time. I'm a worry wart.
I just did this & it WORKED! I am also a worry wart- so I was so thankful to get this advise.
Thanks all!
