F/U to not gaining weight post

Thank you everyone for your responses! We saw her new pedi today and she thinks Eliza might just be petite, but she does want us to continue to supplement her with pumped breast milk and go for weight checks biweekly. They have a CNP who is also an LC on staff so we will meet with her at the end of the month.

E was 10.2 today and gained 5oz this week after supplementing her every feeding instead of every other.

We are going to have to supp with some formula because my crappy supply cannot keep up with 10-15oz of extra milk a day. Such is life!

Gaining 5 oz. in a week is great!  I hope their LC on staff is helpful as well.  Maybe with all the extra pumping, your supply will go up?

Ditto pp -- 5 ounces is great! Keep it up, Eliza. Glad you had a good appt. My pedi has two CNP's who are also LCs and they've been a great resource.

5 ounces is fabulous!  I can totally relate to cheering on the LO for every ounce gained.  We decided that my DS was just little too - looking at pictures of my DH as a baby proved that!  They looked exactly alike.  Although he did start acting and looking like me more when he started taking solids at 6 months...he became a little piggy and put on some weight!  Then he looked more like my baby pictures  Good job with all of that pumping!
