There is a MoMs sale this weekend in my area and I'd like to start bargain hunting for baby stuff. Other than car seats, are there any items that you wouldn't buy used, either because of a safety or a hygiene concern?
Items we are considering buying are: Strollers, bouncy seats, pack and play, clothes, bibs/burp cloths, bottles, bumbos, boppies, bathtub, sleepsacks, assorted toys. And anything else you might suggest. Thanks!
Re: What baby items should I buy used?
I would buy an exersaucer or jumperoo - I think they are expensive new and you won't use them that long.
Also, highchairs or booster seats.
These are not things you will need right away so you can store them in the garage or at a relative's house if you do not have storage.
Your list sounds pretty good since you can wash the components of those items. That's how I determine what to buy new vs. used. You could also see if they have any shopping cart covers used. I think those are way expensive. And maybe a baby carrier if you're interested in wearing your babies.
The Exersaucer mine play in is used as well and I'm thinking of picking up a jumperoo at my MoMs sale at the end of the month. In hindsight, I wish we had bought more items used that are OK used and registered for some other stuff.
