ideas for something to do this weekend....

with just my 2 boys?  Taryn and dh left for a wedding in corpus this morning and won't be back until Sunday.  I'd like to take the boys to go do something fun but I'm drawing a blank on what.  It can't be any place too germ infested since we're trying to keep Teagan healthy before surgery and it can't be too far away because I'm on call for a birth.  Any ideas?  Anything fun going on this weekend??

i was also thinking the austin rodeo!  i'm not sure how easy it is to get in and out of though.

We went yesterday around lunch time and there was quite a line to get in, but it was really easy getting out.  It only took us about 15 minutes to get there on 130.

We haven't been this year but have in years past. I have no recollection of how easy it was to get in and out...it's amazing how little I paid attention to things like that pre-kid!

super easy to get out. it's down 183 nearly to the airport (don't know where your delivery is).

food for ty, animals for T. win/win.

eta: bring small bills. the food vendors only take tokens (machines right next to the food) but if you only have $20s, then you have to find ways to spend the extra. i mean, it's not hard at the fair, but when you only need one more dollar worth of token and all you have is a $20, then someone's not getting their pizza on a stick. Not that i'm bitter or anything.

There are also free concerts on Auditorium shores for SXSW this weekend.  We were thinking of going tomorrow but now the weather forecast looks crappy :-(

the weather is supposed to be poo tomorrow, so it might be a great pajamas and a netflix day.

sunday- i'd stay away from downtown due to sxsw OR you could go downtown and people watch.
