Multiples

First trip out with both, alone!

We went walking around an outdoor mall since the ped finally gave us permission to venture out.

I got SOOO many questions about if they were twins, etc. The one that takes the cake was an older woman who looked at them, then at me and asked 'Did you get them the normal way?' I responded that we had 'help' then she proceeds with asking if we used my DH's sperm or someone else's! Holy crap are people inappropriate! My reply was that 'one could do it either way' and then walked away.

Other than the comments it went really well. I was nervous about loading them in and out of the car alone, but I did it like a pro:)

  • Yay for making it out! But holy inappropriate comment lady! I can't believe you handled it nicely. I don't picture myself doing that.

  • Wow.  I am sorry for the inappropriate questions, but super impressed you went out solo.  I am way too afraid that they will melt down at the same time, causing me to melt down.  ;)

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

  • Yay!  Nice work.

(Although, yes, totally inappropriate comment, old lady.  I'd have told her to mind her own f*cking business but I'm kind of hormonal and crabby these days. Smile)

This happened to me on Monday, when I had to take one for a lab test---so we all had to go. It took me 45 minutes to get everyone OK in her car seat. Then both screamed at the same time when I got to the doctor's office. I was so frazzled by the time I got home, I smacked myself in the face with the car door. Not a good morning, not a good morning at all.

  • It is so nice to be able to get out on your own.  Ever since we got our quad stroller I am loving the freedom of not needing someone with me every time I want to take a walk.
