Eclaires and other March Madness fans
How are your brackets looking? I called the BYU game but not the Old Dominion one. Would also LOVE to see Murray St. beat Vandy and have another SEC team go down.

I had Florida in one of my brackets, but no big loss there - I figured it was a toss up, and since it went to 2OT, I guess I was right.
I had BYU in the other one.
I had ODU and 'Nova though.
So of 2 brackets, 1 is perfect!
You're such an SEC hater... you should have seen how hard I was rooting against 'Nova though. I hate the Big East, even if it would screw up my bracket.
I am definitely an SEC hater, all.the.way. How can you root against Jay Wright??? I lurve him.
So excited to see that we will get to view the UofL/Cal game out here since neither ASU or UofA even made the tourney. Will be a great date night. Unless we lose....
I'm totally pathetic. 0-2 so far... Losing to DD#1 and DD#2. We do a pool every year and let the kids pick their teams too. I just go through and ask the girls for each game. They're both 1-2. Last year, DD#1 won our family pool (including my parents, brothers and some of my cousins). Goes to show random does work. This year, both girls picked Georgetown to win b/c we have a dog named George and they love him.
Sorry - just checked again. Girls are 2-3 and I'm 1-3. And the girls have two different brackets and weren't around when the other was picking except the final winner. (DD#1 had a meltdown when she found out that DD#2 picked Georgetown to win and she wanted to change her pick to Georgetown too at like 9am this morning.)
That's awesome! Way to teach them young!
It gets them interested and I'm from a total basketball team. My brothers played. Dad coached and I kept the book. My older brother majored in sports management and wanted to coach college ball for a while. He now is a tennis pro and manages three fitness/tennis clubs but still loves basketball.
I picked Kansas to win it all.
Wonder what Roy Williams is doing today?? .... lol.
that is AWESOME. We are so doing that next year.
My family is basketball obsessed, so we'd get everyone involved. There's also some bitter rivalries thrown in to make it even more fun.
HAHA. I hate the Big East. HATE HATE HATE HATE. Like wish they would all lose first round if possible. Probably how you hate the SEC, haha!
I just am sick of listening to the commentators salivate over how the Big East is so good and so tough and deserves to get 8 teams in. Also, I think a lot of their teams were overseeded ('nova for example). So, every year I hope for them to flame out early even if it destroys my bracket!
I lost out on ND too. I really was hoping Harangody (sp?) would have a good game. It didn't happen for him though.
I love being a SAHM during the tournament. I no longer have to sneak looks at the scoreboard on my work computer. I am currently watching the K-State game and hoping they lose. But I picked them to win so I am torn.

ans1999...Rock Chalk! Are you going somewhere for the game? I hate when they skip around, so my dad and I are heading to the sports bar (both of us are alums).
I didn't get to see the whole game, b/c GET THIS: for regional coverage they showed the Vandy game instead of OT. Ok. Which is why we are going to bw3s tonight to see the UK game, b/c I know it will get shoved aside if there are better games on.
I just thought they were overseeded when they got a 2 seed - probably due to my Big East haterade. I really hate the Big East. It bugs me that they get this boost for just being in the Big East, like it's THAT difficult. Freaking U of L beat Syracuse TWICE!!!! U of L is not that good (sorry mt).
eclaires - Totally with you on Villanova...I felt like they got waaaaaaaaay rewarded with their seeding, and for what?!
ans1999 - Make your DH stay home since his game is on right now! heehee.... I have already brainwashed DD into being a Jayhawk and am working on DS. He loves and recognizes Jayhawks and gives them spirit sprinkles.
So great and spirit sprinkles! LOL! My kids are brainwashed too. DS has a Jayhawk sweatsuit he wears every.single.day. I have to remember to wash it at night or he will put it on dirty. It is terrible- even I get sick of it. DD is in her beak em hawks tee today.

I feel the same way - the Duke bracket is a joke. If Purdue can win a few games, it's not impossible for them b/c NO one is a stand out. I don't know why Duke got that gift, but it's annoying.
When 'nova got the 2 seed, since it was the last region announced (I was already on fire over the seedings/brackets), MH left the room b/c I was cursing and yelling so loudly. hahaha.
eclaires - Do not underestimate Baylor in Duke's bracket! They are good. And so is TX A&M!! Go Big 12!
ans1999 - We went to a game in Lawrence last month and my kids were going crazy in the bookstore!
Eclaires - I think it's time you went to BEHA (Big East Haters Anonymous). You will definitely be the most stylish one there.
It might be - my head was pretty close to explosion on Sunday. It was rather funny looking back on it.
j*w - I think the big 12 teams are good - in fact I have Baylor coming out of that bracket in one of my brackets. I just think comparatively it's a weak bracket and it's BS b/c I also hate Duke. haha.
There are definitely some teams that can win in that bracket - it's just not stacked.
I was pretty bitter about their seeding, but I am pretty happy about their chances in that bracket. I think we'll know more about how they'll do in the tourney after we see them play tomorrow. It's possible they'll suck and lose, or possible that they play well and then have a good chance to go on a run. It's SO hard to say w/out Hummel and w/ how they played last week.
and Hummel...I might cry if I think about it. WAHHHHHHH.
Duke's bracket is cake every single year. It is beyond annoying. The ACC sucks this year, and yet...UGH! I can't even bear it when Vitale announces for either Duke or UNC--he's so grossly up their butts.
DH is a diehard Jayhawk fan. We have the annual fundraiser for DD's preschool on Saturday night and he's already angling not to go bc they may be playing.
