Anyone find it weird?

That I had a doc appointment Monday and they told me they want to schedule my C/S when I go in for my 24th week appointment.

All of you seem to have them scheduled later in your pregnancy..

I know it will happen just scares me to have a date so soon..

I would have actually liked to have a date earlier. I don't know; I wouldn't think much of it.

I like knowing.... i stress when I don't know what's going to happen. I would jot it in my planner just as soon as they told me...and I'm not usually a big planner.

I WISH they would give me a date.  They already told me that they won't do my c-section any earlier then 38 weeks, so i guess i kindof have a ballpark range.  We will see though.  I wouldn't be worried about anything...you will be great!!

My peri told my date very early on, too--he felt most comfortable delivering at 38 wks max....BUT...in my case, he ended up saying "let's go til 39 wks max" so the date I had red-lettered on my calendar got bumped. I was glad to have the extra cooking time!

I think it depends on the hospital where you will be delivering.  In some areas scheduled c-sections are more common and therefore the scheduling fills up quickly.  The hospital where I delivered has two OB surgery suites - one for emergencies and the other for scheduled surgeries (which can also be bumped for emergencies).

I wouldn't worry about it.

My doctor scheduled mine a long time ago.  She likes to induce at 38 weeks for twins, so mine has been set for 4/16 for months now.  I liked knowing the date.  Although with the complications I've had lately, it doesn't look like I'll make it that far

I scheduled mine last week.  It will put me at 36 weeks, but the scheduled C-sections are filling up fast and they wanted me on the books.  This is a very ambitious date, but at least I have a date I will not go past.
