Would you leave bad feedback (re: ebay)?

I just had a girl win an auction on something & it's been 10 days, I hadn't seen payment so I emailed her asking her when she would be sending payment & she writes back that she is no longer interested, thanks.  Ummmm, yeah?  Doesn't really work like that......should I leave something negative under her feedback or how would you handle this?  She's only had 2 transactions, so I imagine she is new, but hello, at least be up front.....I mean, she won this auction, she is required to pay..I could've relisted this item days ago......

Re: Would you leave bad feedback (re: ebay)?

  • you can report her to ebay for non-payment, I think.

I've done that before, and they ended up having to pay.  The dumb thing was that I contacted the person like 8 times about whether they wanted me to re-list it and they never responded.  Then when I reported it to ebay since I didn't know if I could re-list it they got all crappy with me about how I should have just asked them.  Um, hello?  I DID.

  • I would message her back and let her know this item is hers and if she doesn't pay you will be filing a complaint.  I would also leave her negative feed back

  • Winning an ebay auction is an actual contract.  Report her to ebay and they'll let you relist.  Def. leave neg feedback!!

  • I just wrote to her & told her I would need to file a complaint if she doesn't pay for the item.

    She wrote this back:

well im sorry, it seems the information you and i have is different. as far as i was knew if you bid on an item and decide you dont want it is placed back up for bid after 10 days of no payment. im not longer interest in the item and i will not be buying it. if you feel the need to file a complaint thats your choice.
    have a nice day

  • What would you say in her feedback?  I'm just afraid she will try to leave me negative feedback if I leave her negative feedback.

  • I'd say she is unaware of ebay's terms and did not pay for an item she won.

  • When she bids on something, she commits to buy the item! I would definately leave her bad feedback, and report her for unpaid item through paypal. Ebay will settle the claim in a few days, and depending on how many times she has done that, they might cancel her account.

  • put a non payment claim in through ebay.  as far as I know you can no longer leave negative feedback for buyers.  It's a totally stupid rule that ebay came up with.  She clearly doesn't understand how ebay works.
  • She is a tool.  There is no ebay 10 day rule.  File a dispute for an unpaid item.  They will refund you the listing as well as the final value fee.  I am a powerseller (top rated).  Feel free to PM me if you need any help.
  • YEAH.  The thousands of sellers on ebay wait around 10 days for payment for the billions of items they sell.
