Austin Babies

My CRL was behind... maybe

Its always something, isn't it?  My mind is like a runaway train with these anxious thoughts.  Anywho...

When I went yesterday, Jaki measured the crown to rump length to be at 4mm, which she said was 6w + or - 2 days.  From my charting, I know that dating from LMP I would be 7w1d yesterday.  I O'd at least 4 days late, but even then I should have been 6w4d.

So, with the +2... where are the other 2 days?

She put it in her little circular chart thingy and somehow also came up with 6w2d on the dot.  I asked her more than once whether I should be concerned that the days don't add up and she said that with the growth we've seen from the last u/s to yesterday, there is no need to worry.

BUT, Worry is what I do.

Anyone else experience something similar?

Re: My CRL was behind... maybe

  • I really, really wouldn't worry. Baby could have just taken his/her sweet time snuggling in.

  • When I went in for my ultra sound around that time I was measuring 4-6 days behind. Everything was and is fine.

I really don't think you need to worry. I think it common at that time to be a little off in measurements.

  • Thannkkkk you.  I feel better.

    Back to being elated. :)

  • Yes - it's common in early measurements to be a few days off.  2 days is nothing!  Big Smile
  • Thanks, lady.

So, do you all change your ticker when you get a different measurement?  Should I be updating it as I go along?

  • I don't. I'd be changing it every month. Stick out tongue

Babies are rarely born on their due dates anyway.

  • M&W measured 4 days behind at my 6 week u/s. They had caught up by the next week. There was zero question about how far along I was since they were IVF babies, but the doctor still wasn't worried and they were fine!

  • 2 days?  Nothing to worry about, at ALL.  Though I was unsure of when Vivi was "made", she was about 4 days behind where she should have been based on my LMP.

She's totally fine.  There was that weird ear horn, but you can totally deal with a little horn, MrsHoyt.
