RP: BOTB What would you cook?

I have a friend who just had a baby. She also has two young boys and I was going to make them some food when I go and visit tomorrow. I was thinking lasagna, bread, and cookies but I want to take one more main dish. Any suggestions? Thanks everyone :-)

  • My two older ones love tuna noodle casserole, although I dont know if thats something that you can freeze. I was going to say lasagna, thats a great go to dish. How old are the boys? My friend brought me, when I had our 3rd,  a chicken and rice dish, it had some asparagus in it as well and my 2 older ones ate that up too but I dont know the recipe!

  • Maybe chicken casserole or a big dish of macaroni and cheese?  Salad in a bag makes a nice side for mom and dad...and maybe some individual packs of applesauce for the kids?

  • I might do a chicken casserole or something. Thank you for all the idea :-)
  • There's a chicken tetrazzini recipe on Cooking Light that freezes well and it's delish!  Soups/chili also freeze well.
  • Someone brought us chicken spaghetti and a bag salad with goat cheese and dried cranberries. It was great and super easy to reheat. I had never had chicken spaghetti before but after that I made a large batch and put it in individual freezer bags for later.
