I received an invitation to this in the mail this week.
Supposed to be "brief, light, and enjoyable"
Basically one big class reguarding baby and baby gear safety.
Includes a free baby cpr dvd and a gift bag at the end that retails for $129.
There are 2 shows Saturday and 2 on Sunday
Located at the Marriott Quorum by the galleria.
It says both parents must present invitation for free admission and grandparents are welcome also. The fine print says the invitation can be copied.
If anyone would like the invitation, I have scanned it so that it can be printed out.

Re: Getting Ready for Baby show this weekend
Just did a search on the show. Turns out to be just a sales thing.
Here is what one person said about the show. I will probably not be going now.
It's a sales presentation masquerading as a safety seminar. My wife and I went to one of these just this past weekend. It was an interesting show, and there were a few pieces of useful information - like not to buy a walker - but there was a lot of fluff too. It was sponsored by a company called Babee Tenda, which makes expensive cribs and feeding tables.
The "free gift" for us turned out to be a set of coupons for three free pictures, and a bunch of certificates for coupons that you have to pay processing fees to obtain.
