I was late to the party, but this is what I gathered:
Someone from here posted a BFP on TTCAL. TTCAL got upset because they felt it was a "drive by". The moderator at TTCAL decided to report to the Nest Gods and then come over here and post how it was not OK to do drive bys. MC played nice and mediated, but feelings were hurt and a lot of Austin gals were very surprised by the whole bruhaha. Many took exception to the whole "I'm going to report your whole board" threat and the gloves came off. However, all is better now.

Ehh, I don't feel like it's better. But I hold grudges.
I will say that in *my* opinion, the original post was NOT a drive by, nor was it announcing her BFP. It was a simple post looking for encouragement that a faint line really is a line (because we all know how crazy those lines or lack thereof can make us!), and wanted everyone to tell her it was going to be okay in light of the fact that she's had multiple losses. It wasn't like she was broadcasting a BFP to the world and squeeeing to a bunch of people having trouble about how happy and excited she was. She was looking for legitimate support.
But AJL recaped it pretty well for the rest of it.

I agree with you, and I think that the "rules" for posting on certain boards are very difficult for a newbie to follow sometimes and also pretty ridiculous. If you want a private board, make a private board, IMO.
I went over onto their board (in search of these other "drive by" posts that they said had happened) and found a few posts that led me to believe that the cross board dramaz happened b/c of the "blondie & cj rock" post.
It was really all just a misreading. MC+KK was just posting a "thanks for having my back" post over here, but I think they (TTTAL) read it as, "Hey, ya'll, check out what I did!" Which, of course, wasn't the intention at all.
I agree that the "rules" (moreso the unspoken over the posted) are silly.

Yep. And I hope that what we posted in the original thread was truly seen as a defense of someone we care about and knew did not mean to offend anyone.
