I might be pregnant and Im scared..

So my period is like clockwork and Im two days late. Im scared to think i may be pregnant. Dont get me wrong, we want another baby, but I developed pre-e with my first dd and im scared to go throuh it again. I have high blood pressure in the first place and Im bout 20lbs heavier i was when dd was conceived. So i guess im scared things could b worse the 2nd time around. DD was born at 34 weeks healthy, just small and did have about a 10 day NICU stay. Im afraid of being put on hospital bedrest and not being home with my dd. I know things could be worse, but the fear is always there for me.

The best thing you can do is test. You should try not to stress until you know for sure that you are pregnant.

Do you know when you ovulated? I'm sorry you are scared. Try not to panic. And you know...the only way to know for sure is to take a test:( Hang in there!

(Also...I had pre-e with my first and it never showed up with my 2nd!!! There's hope!)

I highly suggest you test. The sooner you know the sooner you can make sure you are taking proper care of yourself so that you & baby are healthy. GL.

Keep in mind that you might not get Pre-e again. Yes it can happen but not always.

Just to calm your fears first take a test. Second if you are pg just be sure your dr will take the right precautions. I had pre-e and HELLP with my first pg and delivered at 28 weeks. A week later he passed away. So with dd I was terrified over every little thing. But I had a group of great dr's and they helped me through. With dd everything was perfect and here I am pg again. Don't let your fears stop you from being happy if you are pg. Each pg is different!

Like the other posters said, keep your cool until your sure.  There isn't reason to worry until then.  I have to tell myself this all the time because I'm a bit "what if-er".

Definitely POAS to know for sure.  Also, you might not get pre-e again.  I had Pre-E with DD.  As you can see from my ticker, I am pg again.  So far no signs of it.  I'm crossing my fingers that I don't get it but if I do, then I'll deal with it.  No sense worrying/stressing about it now.

Good luck.  I can imagine that it would be scary for you- totally understandable.  If you are pregnant I hope it is a very happy and healthy 9 months!
