Ocho was too new last year, but I think we're really going to try to make it this year. I have a kind of dumb question. What kinds of candy/things are typical/acceptable to fill the eggs? Will there be kids of all ages? I don't want to fill the eggs with any no-nos. (Growing up, our eggs also had small toys, erasers, etc., too.)So just regular candy? And parents will pick through for their kids to avoid choking hazards, etc.?

That shows how much I paid attention. Thanks!

I think it said a dozen eggs. If we are able to go, I was planning on bringing one dozen cascarones (confetti eggs)--would that be okay? Little Man was able to enjoy those last year!
:-)
I'm not sure if cascarones would go over with my boys. They'd just break 'em and then try to eat the shells.
Probably the baby treats are good. can't think of anything else! My boys just like to shove everything into their mouths, so even small toys would be a choking hazard...

aha! I feel dumb now.
Baby and toddler type snacks it is! Got it. What is the general age range?
At least you actually read the e-mail.

There will be preschoolers there too, so everyone is welcome. Like Kim said, we can trade eggs around. I know my DS would love to find some candy and would have no problem at all giving the puffs to the smaller ones.
Oh, the small boxes of raisins also fit in the eggs. I thought of that after I replied earlier.
There will definitely be PK kids there. I tend to fill them based on what my kids like. The moms can/will check them first and decide whether or not they want their kids to have what is inside. That is my theory anyway and it has worked really well in the past 2 years.
Last year we had some with toddler type snacks like pp said. But there were also stickers, playdoh, little toys like balls, slinkies, tops, etc and also some candy. I go to the dollar store every year and load up.
The past two years I've put in playdoh and giant rubber balls. I'm likely to do that again this year.
The only no I would suggest would be chocolate. It melts way too fast for Easter Egg hunts in Texas. M&Ms would be okay if chocolate was necessary. What am I saying, chocolate is always necessary....
