I'm kinda in love with the Pique nursery bedding from Pottery barn but DH thinks that white isn't a good idea since it will show everything. I don't think I can bleach it since it's not completely solid?
The room is dark with no real natural light so I think I need something to lighten up the room. I would get a dark blue crib sheet if that makes a difference.
WDYT should I find something else? Give me the good and bad.
ETA:Sorry I wasn't clear. The bedding is white but the crib is chestnut colored.
Re: Will I regret white crib bedding set?
This is totally my opinion, but I think nursery bedding is kind of a waste. Yes it's super cute, but traditional bumpers are a SIDS risk (many moms choose to accept that risk, which is fine, but you will have to decide what your own personal comfort level with that is), as are blankets. The only thing we have in our crib is the crib sheet (which you've said will be dark blue?). That's it. Actually, that's not true, not that she's older and rolling around, we have a breathable mesh bumper.
The crib skirt is cute and could be used to hide storage under the crib...can you get that separately?
To answer your original question, no, I don't think it would be a problem. The sheet is what is going to take the brunt of any messes.
Like rssnlvr said, pretty much the only thing you'll use (at least for a while) is the sheet and skirt and the sheet will be the only thing that gets dirty.
FWIW our crib and sheet have been a total waste of $ anyway because she only slept in it for a month. She was in the pnp for 5.5 months, in her crib until 6.5 months, and has been in the bed with us since then (yep, that was a big "I never" for me).

This is how I felt as well and would still have them up if LO wasn't standing on them trying to escape now.
I think white sounds very nice. I LOVE Tide bleach pens and you could use it if there was a small stain. I use it on DSs clothes all the time.
