Just saw your post on the congratualtions - thank you.
The boys arrived 6 weeks early. I hemorrhaged due to a complication and the Dr had to go ahead and take them. It was a crazy hour of activity but I was thankfully already in the hospital's HRP unit due to light bleeding and my Dr was in the hospital. I was admitted into HRP at 12:45 started to hemorrhage at 1:30 and the boys were delivered less than an hour later.
I never got around to posting an announcement, so here is an update: Evan Carter and Tyler Cole were born at 31 1/2 weeks on February 27 both at 2:22 PM. Evan was 4.7 pounds and Tyler 3.7 pounds at birth. Both boys are doing well and are in the NICU at INOVA Fairfax. They are both growing and getting stronger day by day and sometimes making leaps forward hour by hour. Evan will probably come home before Tyler. Tyler is such a little peanut; I am just amazed at the difference a pound makes. It is looking like Evan will come home just after he hits 35 weeks (gestation) which is the earliest that they will release any preemie and Tyler will be about two weeks after that.
We are just so thrilled with both of them and thankful that they are doing well, growing and getting strong. We look forward to bringing them both home.
Thanks again for the message.
