We're Moved! Not w/out hiccups of course!

Good gref what a ride it has been!

It all started off great with the closing etc, then came the actual move which went smooth thanks to our awesome friends who offered up their Fri night and Sat morning. BUT then the dreaded utilities. TWC reared its ugly head!

They came and didnt want to do anything (run cables etc) then wouldnt stick to their word of what was promised when we made the appt. We promptly told them to get off our property and had Dish Network the next day! They installed everything we wanted in every place we wanted and did not charge us a dime. They also sent someone who spoke english! Imagine that!!!!

Now we are back to square one with TWC though....we cant get internet where we are through the phone company so I guess we are at their mercy but at least all the lines are ran (by Dish) and I was given free intallation bc I threatented them that if it happened the way it did the first time we will just cancel again. Lets see if they hold their promise....Im not holding my breath. She also made a note to send a customer friendly installer to my house bc of our bad exp.

Now to top it all off the USPS is saying our address is not registered BUT accepted our change of address/forward req online! Meaning everything will be sent back that is supposed to come to our new address. Where oh where is my white flag!

ETA: AT is also not adjusting too well. We have had to do intervals with him at night now bc he wont settle down and doesnt wnat to go to his new room. I know its bc its a new place but honestly he does better than this when we travel. Im at the point now where Im standing at the door shhing him. It was better last night but Im wondering how long this will last. He has never had this sort of prob bf.

Glad to hear the move is over for you! I hate dealing with TWC, sorry you have to use their internet service. Hope you get that and your mail worked out soon but at least the big stuff is over and you can work on getting settled in now. Yay!

That does not sound like fun. Hopefully TWC will fix their issues and have you hooked up soon.  AT will adjust. It probably doesn't help it was daylight savings time too. He is just out of sorts a little bit.

Glad you're in your new house! Hope you get settled in soon and AT adjusts quickly. Sorry to hear you had so much trouble with TWC. We had some issues with them too when we moved earlier this month. I'm just hoping we don't have the same trouble when we move next weekend!

Congrats on being moved in!!  You have been "put through the ringer" with this whole process.  I hope from here on out you won't run into any problems.  Poor AT!  I hope he settles into his new room soon.

Moving is such a huge PITA, isn't it?  Glad y'all got moved and hope everything else works itself out!
