I live overseas so it's not easy to communicate with doctors here, thought I'd start with you guys.?
?Okay so I can't remember the last time that my 15 month old son has had a firm dirty diaper, it's not diarrhea but it's just a giant mess everytime and at least 3 a day... ?am I feeding him too much or something? ?And if he eats peas, they come out the other end, fully intact, is that normal?
This is his general diet: ?(he eats soft meats, cause that's what he'll eat, like meatloaf, meatballs. ?He doesn't drink milk so I have replaced it with yogurt, I have weaned him from bf except for once before bed and one early morning.)
?breakfast- oatmeal with apricot and yogurt?
lunch- whole wheat pasta w/ tomato sauce and beef meatballs
?snack- banana, piece of cheese
snack- yogurt (replacing milk)
Dinner- chicken meatballs, carrots
snack- yogurt (replacing milk)
bedtime nurse- bed
5 a.m. nurse?
Re: Please help me understand these dirty diapers! tmi
Your list seems pretty normal to me. I really don't know. My normally solid-idy pooper started having those type of messy diapers about a couple weeks ago, but only about 3x a week (others were normal). My mom was around once and I asked her if it look diarrhea and she said no. It must be something with what they are eating.
Nastily enough, Similac has a "diaper decoder" with pics of poopy diapers and lets you know what is normal and what's not. I checked this and it was totally normal. Made me feel better. You may (yuck) want to check it out.
