Dad in need of help!!!! (looking for child care in Springbranch)

Hi, Ladies,

I know it is unusal a dad on this site, but I need your help.

My wife and I are looking for some help finding child care in the Springbranch area of Houston.  We aren't very excited about havig to use child care, but you gotta do what you gotta do.  Do you have any great child care suggestions?

 Thanks,

 Loving Husband and Dad

  • We send our kiddos to Mother's Day Out at Fair Haven Day School at Gessner and Westview.  They also offer full time day care...  We have been very very happy.
  • Loading the player...
  • There is also Creme de la Creme in the Town and Country area.

My son goes here as well, full time.

  • How old is your child? Do you need full time or part time childcare? Do you want a daycare center, a church run daycare or an in-home daycare?

A lot of the churches in that area seem to offer daycare. St Christopher's Episcopal Day School on Blalock, The Big Little School at the Methodist church on Wirt, Fairhaven Methodist on Gessner, Memorial Presbyterian if you have a preschooler  (the others take babies). There's a Catholic church on Kempwood that does daycare too though I don't know much about it.

I've known families that used each of those. I don't think Big Little is run by the chuch, only uses their facilities, but I'm not 100% sure on that. If you need less than fulltime care, I think church programs are the way to go because they seem more willing to give you fair part time prices where regular daycare centers charge you almost full price (p/t care is what I need, so that's why I'm more familiar with church run programs than regular daycare centers).

  • Thanks for all of your suggestions.  We have an eight month old bouncing baby boy.  We don't need fulltime child care, but we would like it twice a week or so.

We know about Crem, but can't really afford that.  I am eager to try some of the smaller church related suggestions.

     Thanks for your help.
