but he is so smart.
Tonight we were reading the book The Snowy Day. He has had this book since Christmas and we have read it maybe five times. The book has probably 25 pages in it. Each page is illustrated.
We came to a page that said something about snow plopping on his head. I put my hand on top of his head and said "Plop!" He laughed hysterically. We finished reading the book and I put the book down and started to grab a different one. He did his whining noise that he does when he wants something. He picked up the book again.
He opened up the book, turned the pages until he found the exact page with the plopping snow and started laughing. He pointed to my hand to motion me to do it again. I would do it again and then put the book down. This went on about five more times.
I love this kid. ![]()
Re: My baby may have trouble speaking
LOL. That is too sweet.
I have a very good friend who has a son who had trouble speaking. He chose not to speak until he was 3. He's now 12 and literally a genius. And he NEVER shuts up.
That is too cute! You're lucky, though, that he only had you do it 5 more times. Had that been Jeremy, he would have wanted me to do it for an hour, lol.
Aw. Your story made me smile. Thank you
:-)
DS isn't speaking yet, either. When I sometimes worry I think of my friend. I know they will speak when they are ready and 9 times out of 10 it's not a big deal.
So cute! I can not wait for DD to do stuff like this.
I would not worry too much about the not speaking. One of my brothers did not talk until he was 4, one day he just started speaking in full sentences. And my other brother waited until he was 3 to talk. They are both really smart and totally fine as adults.
