Am I the only lazy one?

I let my twins nap downstairs in their swings for their morning and evening nap. I take them to their crib for the afternoon nap but that is always a lot more drama which is why I don't put them in their cribs for all 3 naps. But I don't know how much longer they can use the swings. So I am going to have to drag my lazy butt up and down the stairs all day! And I say all day because I always have to re-insert a paci or pat someone, etc, during the crib nap. Am I the only one who doesn't take them to their crib for every nap? If not, where do your LOs nap?

  • Mine refuse to nap laying down.  They scream and cry if I try to put them down.  So they nap in their bouncy chairs.  Tongue Tied

  • Emerson slept exclusively in her swing until she was 12 months old and then transitioned to her bed with absolutely no problem.  If they're sleeping, I wouldn't worry about it.

  • I transferred my son to his crib for naps around 6 months because he weighed so much his swing stopped swinging :)  I wouldn't have changed anything otherwise- if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  • I started putting them down drowsy but awake in their cribs for naps at 7.5 weeks and it actually went pretty well for my LOs. (Though they most definitely have off days and weeks!) For me it was actually easier b/c they started sleeping MUCH better than before that when I let them sleep in swings or bouncies. I hear ya on the going up and down the stairs all day though; I find myself wishing many times a day that we lived in a one-story house!

  • My boys sleep great in their cribs at night, but want nothing to do with them during the day. Mine aren't on a specific nap schedule quite yet, but I let them sleep in their swings during the day. I try to put them in their cribs and its such a struggle. They sleep through everything, so its not like I need to tiptoe around them. I figure we'll move to the cribs eventually...

  • When I am home alone I do whatever is easiest - swing, boppy, bouncy. When DH is home we try to put them in cribs, but it isn't as easy because you can't put them in awake. I have to get them drowzy first
