Postpartum Depression

Crap. Weaning off Lexapro = FAIL

My Ob gave me the go-ahead to try to wean off the Lexapro.

FAIL.

I've managed to not have so much depression, per se, but then again I never felt that depressed before I got diagnosed either.

My anxiety is thru the roof, and the most horrible thoughts keep popping into my head. I don't like it, so I'm going back on the full dose.

Ugh. I was really hoping that 17 months later....

  • I also have PPA and tried to wean off around Thanksgiving (was dx 4months postpartum and tried to wean 8 months later). Big mistake. About 4 weeks later, all those feelings came back. I wonder if I'm always going to be on these meds. It's definitely worth it, though. I can't live my life like that!!

  • That stinks. I had such an easy time weaning off Lexapro but I believe it's all about timing and I got lucky that I had it easy. GL!
