I just got back from the Dr and they gave me a book on some post baby care stuff. There is a page full of poopy diaper pictures.

Ladies, let me tell you fake a pain or go to the bathroom or something when the baby poops the first few times and let your husband deal with the tarry pudding mess It's only fair.

HA! Great suggestion!!! I'm liking that. It seems perfectly fair to me! I changed my nephews diaper when he was less than 24 hrs old and that tarry goop was awful, esp since I had to get it off all of this baby man parts...it was a job for sure!

Haha DH changed all of DD's first diapers too! I was in charge of the front end (feeding) and he was in charge of the back end. Plus my pelvis was so sore from childbirth that it was hard for me to get up out of bed for a while.

If we all have to face our first post labor BM's and the issues with that (whether you had vaginal or c/s delivery), it's only fair they deal with the baby's.

Oh man, I remember that. My whole family was over and I went upstairs to change her diaper and HOLY CRAP, there it was! I was so embarassed to call my H up to help me change a diaper. But I did anyway -

Right? I remember it just pouring out of him. I was happy to stay in the bed and let H deal with it but I did get one and boy was it sticky and gross. We just threw out the recieving blanket he was on at the time.

I want to cry just thinking about this...I contemplated sending this post to DH but I think he might try to give the baby back :-) So I guess I'll just be asleep then to, he seriously owes me.
