To purchase a used breastpump off ebay? Of course I would replace all the tubing and parts. But I have seen posts where women are completely against a used one... what do you think?
Before I got a pump, I thought I would never use a used one, I even turned one down from a good friend! However, after I got my Ameda Purely Yours, I realized that there aren't any parts that touch both milk and the motor of the pump (which is the expensive part!). If this pump just had different flanges and tubing, there is no reason someone else couldn't use it, IMHO.
If you are intersted...I have a Medela Swing Single Electric Pump that has NEVER been used. I learned before I needed the pump that I was not going to be able to breastfeed...but had already opened the box to read the instructions so I can't return it. If you are intersted, I would sell it for $75. Just let me know...it is better than it going to waste.
Medela pumps are made for single users b/c milk can get into the motor via the tubing. Since milk is a bodily fluid that can carry human diseases, I would not buy off of eBay. I might borrow from a friend or relative that I knew to be HIV or Hepatitis free.
The Ameda pump is FDA approved for more than one user and is made so that milk cannot get into the motor so if that is the kind you are looking at, it is a different story.

ohhhh... So I essentially could purchase a used Ameda? I just can't believe how expensive they are.
PP: I would be very intered in your Medela... But I am looking for a double to pump as quick as possible while at work. Thank you so much for the offer and if I change my mind i'll definitely let you know.
