cramping ?

i have had cramps on off for awhile now but no spotting. I know it's still early (5w5d) but last night the cramps were so severe they woke me up from a dead sleep, it was like my back and lower abs were on fire. it lasted a few minutes and then passed.

has anyone else experienced this?

Yeah, I had a lot of cramping early, too. I also had a night or 2 when the cramps woke me up. As long as your cramping isn't severe and you're not bleeding it should be fine. Your uterus is just making room.

My understanding is that the cramps early on -- and I had them really bad -- were from implantation.  So it's a good thing, even though it may not feel like it.  And like pp said, as long as there's no bleeding, you should be in good shape.  Just try to get comfortable and muscle through it.  It didn't last more than a week for me (off and on, not consistently).

I had a LOT of cramping (very strong) at the beginning too, so it is probably normal.  However, I always say better safe than sorry.  If you are worried, call the Dr.

I had a lot of cramping early on as well. I was told by many its just your body making room for babies. :-)

Me too, lots of cramping early on.  I think it is common, I had it from ET on for quite a few weeks.  Take care and congrats
