I have one touch ultra2 meter and I noticed that my meter readings vary a lot within just 10 to 15 min.
Today my lunch BG was 155 at 2.46 and 125 at 3.03.
Lunch started at 12.45 and finished at 12.05.
Since it was high I did a mild walk in house before I took the 2nd reading.
This has happened earlier also and my OB said that body metabolism may not change in 10 -15 min , so does that mean my meter is not accurate ??
Has anyone else noticed such huge difference ?
Re: Meter Accuracy - GD
I have a one touch ultra mini. Overall i've been able to keep my numbers within the "acceptable" range, but Friday night after dinner I got a really high reading (164). I tested again about 10 minutes later and got a 124. I didn't do anything to try to bring the number down, and I always try to follow the same procedure of washing my hands right before. I even try to always use the same brand of soap.
When I got my meter they talked about using a control solution to test the meter/strips accuracy, but they were out. Maybe you could try to get some of that if you're questioning your meter.
