  • Actually married or became engaged? Because I think that matters a little. Some people get a ring pretty quickly but don't actually marry for years.

  • I like to think our timeline is a bit skewed because we're high school sweethearts, but we dated 8.5 years before our wedding.

At least you have an excuse! We dated 8 yrs. Met in college.

  • Dated for 1, engaged for 1. So I voted 1-2.
  • Engaged after 2 1/2 years, married 18months later on our 4 year date-iversary. But we moved in together 4 months into dating (5 months after meeting). We're cuh-razy, y'all.

Rssn, sometimes I think y'all are the bizarro versions of us (DH and me).  Smile

  • we started dating my sophomore year in college and dated 4 years and 3ish months before we got engaged, and were engaged for a year - so we had been together over 5 yeas when we were married.

  • I voted Other because we dated for 4 months, then I moved to Houston for 2 years and we didn't date during that time.  Then we got back together right before I moved back to Austin, dated for 7 months, engaged for 5 months then married!
  • We got married 1 year and 15 days after we officially started dating.  It totally counts as 1-2 years.  Stick out tongue

  • I voted 4-5 years...but I'm not really sure.  We dated for a year or two (I think) before I started back to school.  He moved to AZ and we broke up.  He moved back and we started dating again.  We officially moved in together (long story) and dated/engaged until I graduated from UT...our wedding was a week after I graduated.

Same for us! Met in college and dated 8 years before getting married.

  • I voted for 0-1 year - but keep in mind that I am divorced.:)

We dated and got engaged after 3 months, and then got married in 4 more. I am 100% sure that if I moved in with the man first, it would not have lasted six months into it.

  • friends for almost a year, dated for another 1.5 years and then engaged for another 1.5 years before getting married.
