Does your dh forget his parent's birthdays?

Forgive me for being a post-whore today.

Dh forgot his mother's birthday AGAIN and it's today.  This happens every year and I don't think it's my responsibility to remember for him.  It was on a calendar because of his forgetfulness but the calendar got misplaced during the move.  So now he wants to send her flowers which are expensive and silly because they die within days.  I suggest getting her a gift (I recently ordered some jewelry to use as gifts from one of those parties) and sending it out late.  It will arrive in a week or so.  What would you do?

Last year I videotaped DS singing Happy Birthday to my mom and emailed it to her, not because I forgot, but because we're not living near them. But you could do something similar. I don't typically buy my parents gifts for their birthdays, though, due to money issues on our side and clutter issues on theirs.

His mom has been passed on for 30 years now, but when his dad was alive, he would always remember.

His brother: well that's a different story. He ALWAYS forgets his.

If I didn't send out cards/gifts his parents would have never been remembered (even for Christmas).  It's not that he didn't love them...but they never lived close.  He is really bad at that.

And DH is the same way.  I've given up.  I have enough to keep track of with three kids and my own family.  He's supposed to take care of his.  Drove me nuts when he forgot and we'd be scrambling...so I quit.
