I saw your response about the BabyHawk. Did you have the Mei Tai or the Oh Snap? I am very interested but don't know if the snaps vs. the ties would be worth the price difference. Did you find it easy to use?
butting in - MTs are super easy and very versatile. My only complaint with BW is that they have an unpadded waist -- which isn't great after 20ish pounds. (there are other MTs that have padded waists). The O Snap has padding, but since it's buckles, it's not as adjustable as an MT -- if you have a small frame, it might not do a back carry as well, because you can only tighten the straps so far.

Thanks for your response. So now I have some more questions. I am 5"11 and not small framed, and my DS is already 21 lbs. Can you recommend a MT that would be better (with the padded waist) for me?
My response is basically the same at Celyn's. I used the my mei-tai from like, 4 weeks to until he was very heavy (25 pounds?) and my only complaint was that when he was that heavy, the unpadded waist straps seemed to cut into my lower back (if i wore him on the front). It was at this point that I switched to my beco.
