anyone buy sofa slipcover?

We got some great handmedown couches - but theyre white and that will not last very long at our house no matter how hard I try.

I found some slipcovers on overstock.com but am wondering if janyone else had better experiences elsewhere or have some tips - sure fit? 2 piece slipcover? suede? washable?? They all look the same to me :-/

This is what the couch looks like:

  • I ended up making my own because I couldn't find any that fit right.  You can get these little screw in buttons to hold things in place.  A piece of PVC pipe jammed down between the cushions can help keep it taught across the cushions.

  • i got one from walmart for ours, and yes i do have to go and adjust it every day, but at least you cant see the crappy sofa underneath. :)

  • We did when we had DH's old couch many years ago. What a pain in the ass. Yes, had to adjust it every day. I had pipe down the back to hold it in place but it didn't do much good as soon as someone sat down. Maybe they've improved over the years...and I'm sure we didn't spend a whole lot on the one we got.
