I had a family member purchase a graco travel system for us that we did not register for. We only registered at BRU for a chicco set. I got that stoller, but not the carseat. I don't have a receipt, what is target's return policy? I am afraid we are not going to be able to return it
Re: What is target's return policy?
You might be out of luck without a receipt. Target only allows returns that they can look up on a credit card, or without a receipt for up to $20.
Would your family member be really offended if you explained that you have another stroller/carseat and asked for the receipt?
with no receipt, you are limited to a certain dollar amount ($75?) and it has to be as a gift card. You have to provide ID and fill out a form and once you hit that certain dollar amount, you cannot return anything w/o a receipt for 365 days.
I believe they'll also let you do an even exchange. like one carseat for another, but I'm not totally positive.

this may be too late for you, and of questionable ethics, so take this with a grain of salt...but someone suggested to me that if someone bought something not on our registry, to add it to the registry after the fact and then report it as purchased. that way you can return the item without a huge hassle.
I haven't decided if we'll do this yet, since we're not at the point where people are going all rogue on us
but I thought I'd suggest it.
Good luck!
